Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Canada Bursary Program

This is a support program offered to students with Spina Bifida or hydrocephalus to allow them to pursue postsecondary studies and to be autonomous. To be eligible for this program, candidates must be students with Spina Bifida or hydrocephalus and be members of Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Canada or of another local association with the same purpose.  Finally, candidates must have been accepted or be enrolled in a recognized postsecondary educational institution.  The application process is defined as follows: 

–       Complete the bursary application form and send it to the organization’s address below;

–       Provide a copy of the admission letter or proof of enrolment letter from the academic institution the applicant will be attending;

–       Provide a current résumé in which the applicant describes his/her education as well as his/her previous employment and recreational activities;

–       Attach a letter of recommendation from someone other than a relative  (a teacher or a well-known person);

–       Provide a copy of the applicant’s transcript (photocopies are accepted);

–       Write a letter describing the reasons why the applicant would be an ideal candidate for the bursary.
