Tax Credit for Individuals Living with a Disability

The certificate for the tax credit is granted to disabled individuals living with “severe and prolonged physical or mental function impairment”. Through a non-refundable tax credit, the amount you pay on your tax return is reduced.

An additional amount may be granted to individuals under the age of 18 at the end of the year. You also have the opportunity to transfer this amount in whole or in part, to either your spouse or to any other person who takes care of you. If you have earned income and are eligible for the tax credit for disabled people, you quality for the Working Income Tax Benefit supplement.
